Number The Stars
Number The Stars is a historical fiction about a period of time called the Holocaust, when Jews were sent to concentration camps and killed by the Nazis. Although, young Annemarie Johansen is no Jew, Ellen Rosen, her friend, is in danger and needs to escape Denmark. Annemarie faces dangers as she and her family secretly transports Ellen to Sweden, a Nazi free country.
The Devil's Arithmetic
Hannah never enjoyed Passover, a Jewish holiday that commemorates the period of the Holocaust and the Jews that have died during that time, but this time it was different. Hannah finds herself transported into the past, to the time of the Holocaust and finds her holiday more dangerous than she expected.
